After Rihanna makeup success, is Fenty skincare line on the way?

Pop phenomenon Rihanna released the first products from her makeup line (including an incredible 40 foundation shades) less than three weeks ago.

Since the first release – which included base products for perfecting the ‘Fenty face’ like foundation, concealer, contour, highlights and blush – an Instagram post announced that the star would be launching a ‘holiday’ collection next month.

Now more potential Fenty news has come to light, courtesy of Metro UK, which reports that Rihanna has filed for a new trademark under her Fenty brand.

The potentially trademarked items could include ‘non-medicated skin care preparations, namely, creams, lotions, gels, toners, cleaners and peels, hand lotions, artificial nails, nail polish removers, nail treatment creams, temporary tattoos for use as cosmetics, shower gels, bath gel, [and] perfume’.

While this news may excite fans of the brand, it’s worth noting – as Metro says – that the trademark is still pending, and additionally, that it took three years from Rihanna registering her Fenty trademark for products to actually reach stores.
